The Batman: Matt Reeves debuts new logo and artwork

Anticipation is building for The Batman, ahead of the 2020 DC FanDome. Director Matt Reeves (War for the Planet of the Apes) has tweeted our first look at the new logo and also some visually arresting concept art.

The DC superhero reboot was hip-deep in production in early 2020, before the coronavirus pandemic forced everything to shut down. However, Variety reports that The Batman will resume filming in the UK this September.

The aforementioned logo had already been teased during the camera test released earlier this year. It showed new Batman incumbent Robert Pattinson wearing his armour, to the turbulent sound of composer Michael Giacchino's score.

The movie purports to take the character of Bruce Wayne back to his detective origins in a fusion of noirish thriller and superhero world-building. The excellent cast includes Andy Serkis as Alfred, Zoe Kravitz as Selena Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as Edward Nygma/The Riddler, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin and Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon.

As mentioned, this year's online DC FanDome event promises to showcase a raft of exciting goodies from the movie. It kicks off on Saturday 22nd August at 6PM UK time, and is completely free to attend, so make sure you've logged in via your device or computer.

The Batman is scheduled for release in October 2021. Excited? Let us know @Cineworld.
